“Tot Teu”: Illustrations for an Inclusive Theatre
This project features Tot Teu Illustrations created for an inclusive theatre initiative. The core concept aimed to bring theatre closer to the people, truly making it feel “All Yours” (“Tot Teu” in Catalan). My goal was to create characters that resonated with everyone. I illustrated a diverse range of individuals, from children to elderly people. Each character seamlessly integrates the theatre’s iconic “T” into everyday scenes. Whether playing, caring, or simply sharing space, the characters and the theatre exist together. This highlights a vision of theatre as a welcoming, living part of everyone’s daily life.
Creative Process & Visual Approach
My creative process focused on reinforcing inclusivity and accessibility. The visual approach invites participation and fosters a strong sense of belonging. For instance, the artistic direction drew inspiration from expressive black ink brushwork. This style is minimal yet emotionally rich. I added bold red accents to evoke connection, joy, and warmth. This combination effectively communicates the theatre’s core message.
Impact & Reach
The versatile Tot Teu Illustrations were adapted across various campaign materials. Specifically, they appeared on lamppost banners and printed leaflets. This allowed the theatre’s inclusive message to reach public spaces and daily routines across the city. The illustrations actively promoted the theatre’s vision. Ultimately, they helped establish the theatre as a welcoming and integral part of the community.
